Annual NACUSA Texas Conferences
The Fourth Annual NACUSA Texas Conference will take place on February 20 and 21, 2009, at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Download Conference Information and the Registration Form here.
NACUSA Texas held its first annual conference from March 9 through March 11, 2006, at Texas State University in San Marcos; click here for the Conference Program. The second NACUSA Texas Conference took place on March 3, 2007; click here for the Conference Program. Fourth NACUSA Texas Composition Competition
The submission deadline (postmark) of our 2008-2009 Competition was October 1, 2008. The winners will be announced at the Fourth Annual NACUSA Texas Conference on February 20 and 21, 2009, at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX
Winners of past NACUSA Texas Competitions: Aaron Alon from Houston, Texas (2006 Winner), Jiena Gu from Houston, Texas (2007 Winner), Dr. Charles Ditto from San Marcos, Texas (2008; "Professional" Category) and Aden Ramsey from Nacogdoches, Texas (2008; "Undergraduate Student" Category).
Recent NACUSA Texas Events
NACUSA Texas hosted the Annual NACUSA National Conference in Dallas on May 20, 2008, at 7:30pm, featuring music by Benner, Cooman, De Silva, Lefkowitz, Ninov, Rentowski, Rodriguez, Wang, and Wintle. Download the complete concert program here. The concert took place in the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts.
NACUSA Texas hosted two concerts by pianist Filipe J. Ramirez in May 2006, with compositions by Scott Joplin, Daniel Adams, Lynn Job, Rafael L. Junchaya, Dimitar Ninov, Filipe J. Ramirez, Wieslaw V. Rentowski, and James Stakelum. The concerts took place on May 13, 2006, 2:00pm at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (3200 Darnell St., Ft.
